A girl like me? You clearly know nothing about me and nothing about eating disorders in general. It seems to me that you are projecting your own issues onto other people. I wonder what it is about you that makes you so angry and prejudiced? Perhaps you should explore that rather than wasting your time on YT hiding behind a screen name leaving nonsensical comments.

I haven’t gone out with friends in months.
I’m terrified of public places and no one has seen me without a huge hoodie in pretty much a year.

Do you not think we’re hungry?

It’s not even about the weight.
It’s about control and punishment and severe underlying issues.

People like you are the reason people with an eating disorder don’t get help.
You can’t put a fucking face on an eating disorder.

Kit, some people will never understand… You and I both know how it feels to have anorexia (and co-morbid depression) – as do many people who have really suffered anorexia nervosa.

What doesn’t help people understand this illness, at least in the UK, is that the media portray anorexia as some silly fashion fad that’s all to do with wanting to look like a celebrity… Nope, it’s a complex mental illness that we don’t ‘choose’ to have…

i suffer from compulsive overeating disorder which is an issue that has similar symptoms to this such as the lack of control…its as much of a health issue as anorexia and i think videos such as yours really help people understand issues like this. awesome song as well

Great video! This is what the PSAs should look more like and not provide more thinspo for the weak-hearted in their videos whilst standing on pedestal proclaiming the media affects these girls.
